With the world cup fever hitting our country too, a music trend has also hit the market. It is in this backdrop that young Tehan Perera and Shanudri Priyasad have together created a song dedicated to the world cup team of Sri Lanka. It is indeed different and above all the proceeds of this song will go in favour of the Ranaviru funds and the cancer hospital.
“It is a patriotic slow song. I had this ambition of creating a song some day for a worthy cause like this. And today that dream has come true. Shanudri Priyasad joined me in the duets while it was penned by Chandradasa Fernando and set to tune by Yasas Medagedara. The music video was done by me. Palitha Fernando who is in charge of the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Ground extended his fullest support to this project. Ranga Ayya handled the camera. Funds earned from the ringing tones will also be credited to the accounts of ranaviru funds and cancer patients. My sister died of dengue at the age of four and I am doing this in her memory. I am thankful to Uswatte Family Products for their support. After my studies at school I left for Singapore where I studied video production, I returned and set up ‘Hello Studio’ where I did creations for Amila Nadeeshani, Raini Gunathilaka, Chanaka Wilepanna, Dimithri and others,” said Tehan.
