Rihanna is gearing up to release a brand new album, titled 'Loud,' which follows Barbados-born star's highly-personable 2009 smash effort 'Rated R.'
Rihanna recently announced that her new album was finished and ready for a Nov. 2 release, during a live chat on the official fansite Rihanna Daily.
And, judging from her exuberance, she's certainly excited about the upcoming release. As MTV reports, the singer recently called on her fans to "get LOUD everybody, get crazy, get excited, cuz I'm pumped. I'm just gonna be ME, cuz that's what u guys love the most, and that's what makes me feel best."
Rihanna also assured fans that they wouldn't be disappointed with her newest record, and that she took her overwhelming fan support into consideration when laying down new tracks on 'Loud.' "I made sure not to let you down with my music!," she exclaimed during the chat. "You guys are always defending me, so now you've got some great songs to justify it. I didn't want to go backward and remake [2007's] 'Good Girl Gone Bad.' I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it's perfect for us."
The artist collaborated with songwriter Sean Garrett to put together her new album, and, according to Garrett, fans should expect to hear a much more light-hearted tone on her new album. "I can definitely say that her album is definitely gonna be way more exciting, happy," Garrett told MTV News. "I hope she doesn't mind me saying this. I love Rihanna. She's fun, she's like a sister, and I tend to think she doesn't really take herself too seriously. And I think that's what this album is gonna be about."
Garrett went on to point out that ever since the Chris Brown assault, Rihanna's life has taken a dramatic turn for the serious. With 'Loud,' though, the songwriter says fans should expect to hear something "very positive and very explosive. Heavy in the club."
MTV also reports that famed French producer David Guetta wants to collaborate with Rihanna, and would like to add his own dance club touch to her trademark sound. "Well, you know, I'm a DJ, so I make beats that make you want to dance," Guetta explains. "And I think she was one of the first to do that in that urban world, so you know, I think it would be good for her to do it again."
Although Rihanna hasn't released an official tracklist for 'Loud,' she has released 'Only Girl (In the World)' -- the first single off of her fifth studio album. As we found out when we listened to the new song, Rihanna has definitely taken a more upbeat tone with this Stargate-produced track, and seems to have returned to her dance music roots. Based on this single, then, Rihanna fans should expect to hear a much more effervescent new album this fall
