On October 7th 2010, Grand Oriental Hotel re-launched an exotic Mixed Grill known as the “Taprobane Mixed Grill” to be served from 24th October at the famous Harbour Room with added sensation of 70’s music with ‘Sam the Man’.
This unique mixed grill has been served earlier for 3 decades and has been re- introduced back to GOH with a variety of lip smacking grills that would pamper your taste buds.
Mr. Nihal Jayawardene, General Manager of GOH also added that this Grill was very famous among people previously and they knew where to have their favourite succulent meat. Without harming the tradition, they added some classic hits from the 70’s by ‘Sam the Man’ who entertained audiences with his music over decades as a pioneer saxophonist playing various types of music from classical to jazz.
The executive chef of GOH, Mr. Ruwan Withana said that the menu consists of imported lamb chops, beef, chicken, bacon, sausages, fried eggs and liver accompanied with mash potatoes and buttered vegetables or with rice will be served with famous 'Taprobane sauce.' Also all your favourite mouthwatering stakes and sizzlers will be available at a nominal price.
So all you Grill lovers take some time and head to Grand Oriental Hotel for the amazing ‘Taprobane Mixed Grill’ to celebrate the old tradition with a difference.
